The chief aim
“May your glorious name be praised! May it be exalted above all blessing and praise! You alone are the Lord. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you.” Nehemiah 9:5, 6
The story of Nehemiah inspires us to stand willingly in the face of the impossible when God is leading. The culmination of the story concludes with the people of Israel again abiding in Jerusalem. The ultimate purpose in this restoration, though, is in the re-establishment of genuine worship.
This is the Father’s will and intention for all of humanity and the reason for the engagement of the unstoppable plan of reconciliation through the redemptive act of Christ. The aim for mankind and all of creation has always been to worship him.
One God the Father, one Son Jesus Christ, one Holy Spirit, and one purpose for life: to worship now into eternity. May your glorious name be praised! Amen.
Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.
